78 degrees in the garden this afternoon! Worked comfortably in shorts and sleeveless top until sun was about the go down even though it was very windy. Then the temperature dropped 30 degrees in what seemed like 5 minutes! The afternoon had begun with disaster in the new farm greenhouse, which is so wonderfully lightweight that it blew sideways and knocked 2 of the seedling trays upside down on the ground. The cabbage seedlings were the largest and Amy transplanted those back into their trays pretty successfully. The tiny lettuce and tomato seedlings were much harder to find but we probably rescued about half of them. Chris cam and pounded t-posts by each corner and secured the greenhouse so it won't blow away again!
Ana Hlavatovich volunteered to help and we planted the rest of the pea and lettuce and spinach patch in bed 6. The little pea plants in the picture are the ones planted Feb. 20!
